Built back in the 17th century, the Wheatsheaf offers that traditional Yorkshire village inn packed full of character and ambiance.

Our Rooms

We have 8 en-suite rooms including doubles, twins, single occupancy and a four poster room.  All newly refurbished to a great country standard.  With so many local attractions to see and do there is never enough time in one day to complete them all.  Check into one of our rooms and enjoy the overnight rest and re-fuel ready for the following day’s events. (2 dogs accepted, with an additional charge of £15 per length of stay.)

Our Food

Our kitchen team work hard to bring you the best of traditional pub food.  We only use top quality produce and where possible it is always locally sourced. Whether you fancy a lite bite, a nibble, something sweet or a hearty meal we have all bases covered on our menu.

We have spent years working and developing menus and so have the experience and skill to make any adjustment to menu items to meet your dietary requirements.  Speak to a member of the team if you do have any dietary requirements and we can discuss what options are available to you.
