Events in Ingleton are wide and varied with something to interest you throughout the year.

These include 1940’s Weekend, Overground Underground Festival, Ingleton Gala & Mountain Race and Sheafstock. Ingleton also hosts its very own cycle sportive, Escape to the Dales.

From family friendly to the more specialised, you’re bound to find something to take part in and enjoy.

Overground Underground Event – Stories in Stone Introduction to Caving @ Alum Pot Track, Selside – directions given when place(s) booked

Explore the beauty of underground Ingleborough. Stream ways, waterfalls, small climbs, walking, stooping and crawling is all part of the fun. Squeezes are optional. Learn about how the caves were formed and how we need to protect them too. We supply caving oversuits, helmets, lamps, belts, wellies, and all safety gear.
Dates: Mondays – 28th May; 23rd, 30th July; 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th Aug & 3rd September 2018
Time: 5.00pm – no later than 8.00pm Where: Alum Pot Track, Selside – directions given when place(s) booked Cost: £15 per person. These caving trips are being subsidised through Stories in Stone, a four-year programme of conservation and community projects concentrated on the Ingleborough area. The scheme has been developed by
the Ingleborough Dales Landscape Partnership and is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Would you or your youngsters like to get more competent cycling off road? The caddy track events at Bentham Golf Club are the perfect place to improve your con dence in a fun and engaging way. There will be skills, games, challenges and races to make these sessions entertaining as well as educational.

Overground Underground Festival Event – Insect Day @ Broadrake

Organised by Craven Conservation Group and Broadrake
A chance to identify a wide range of insect species on a small site with an upland hay meadow, young native tree planting and a wildlife pond. Late summer flowering species provide an important food source for a wide range of insect life, including bumblebees and butterflies.
Bring a packed lunch.

Established in 1971, it is the longest established working pottery in the Yorkshire Dales.
You can see the potters working, ask questions and make a clay pot on the wheel to take home.

Overground Underground Event – Touching Limestone – Introduction to Climbing Sessions with SAAIG Outdoors

Exciting adventure activities and learning experiences for the young and old alike. Come and enjoy a half day of outdoor rock climbing with our friendly team.

Sessions are located at crags around Ingleton, such as Oxenber, Twistleton, Giggleswick and Pot Scar, depending on the weather on the day.
