Ingleton Stargazing @ Broadrake
Feb 4 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Ingleton Stargazing @ Broadrake | Chapel-le-Dale | England | United Kingdom
As the nights draw in earlier, from October to March, the Ingleton Stargazer group meets monthly at Broadrake on either the 2nd or 1st Monday of each month, depending on the moon phases. There is a short talk with Pete Collins, (our local star photographer) which includes what to look out for through the next month, usually with a video and if its clear, getting outside & looking upwards to check out the starry sky.

Broadrake is in a great dark sky area being away from the lights of Ingleton and the glow of far away cities and we can easily see the Milky Way – sometimes it’s so dark that it is a challenge to see the more familiar stars because of all the other stars that are visible.

Dates are: Nov 12th 2018, Dec 10th 2018, Jan 7th 2019, Feb 4th 2019 and March 4th 2019.

Wrap up warm! If you have them, bring binoculars, telescopes and cameras if you wish to have a go at night-time photography.

Tea, coffee, squash, biscuits are available, if you are lucky maybe some home baking. This is a free event and all are welcome.

Ingleton Save A Life Defibrillator Awareness @ Ingleborough Community Centre
Mar 14 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

The installation of the defibrillators around the village is part of the Ingleton Save A Life project. The aim of this project is ‘To have an effective community of people in Ingleton who are able to resuscitate in a cardiac arrest situation’. There are training and awareness sessions every month at the Community Centre for those who would like to know what to do in this situation. The training sessions are to teach you as an individual what to do if you come across someone in cardiac arrest. They are not to form a group of first responders. To reserve your place, phone Jayne at the centre on 015242 41701. There is a voluntary suggested donation of £3

Future sessions and further details:

Thurs 19th July

Tues 18th Sept
