Main annual events include 1940’s Weekend, Overground Underground Festival, Ingleton Gala & Mountain Race and Sheafstock. Ingleton also hosts its very own cycle sportive, Escape to the Dales.

Adinda Zoutman – Crocheting Adinda’s Stole and Dahlia Cushion @ Craftopia
Jul 12 @ 10:00 am – 3:30 pm

We’re over the moon to welcome Adinda to Craftopia! These will be her first workshops in the UK so we’re very honoured.

Adinda will be teaching us how to crochet her signature Stoles and her stunning bags. All the materials will be provided. You only need to bring a selection of crochet hooks. We have everything else you need.

Ingleton Area Open Gardens Weekend – in aid of NSPCC

Pick up your £4 programme from Tourist Information in the community centre or village newsagents. Programme covers all weekend. Refreshments at various locations on the route.

Navigation for Novices (half day) @ Ingleton Village
Jul 13 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Don’t get lost on the hills or on your next hike, book on to one of these sessions with Craig.

We’ll meet up in the centre of Ingleton (unless otherwise informed), stock up on breakfast, brews and equipment before we head out for the morning.


You will gain an insight into the techniques required to understanding maps, covering Scales, Rights of Way, Grid References.  Understand how to developing a navigation strategy – Distance, Direction, Check Off and Overshoot.  How to measure distances using, Timing and Pacing.  How to use a compass – Map orientation, taking and walking a bearing.  Understand the basics of following a bearing in poor visibility.  Start to get to grips with contour recognition – Understanding the shape of the land.  Basic routefinding skills and route planning – Using natural features, hazard avoidance.

12:30-13:00 – 

Back to base, for a cuppa, chat, review and relax.
