Main annual events include 1940’s Weekend, Overground Underground Festival, Ingleton Gala & Mountain Race and Sheafstock. Ingleton also hosts its very own cycle sportive, Escape to the Dales.

Father Christmas visits Battlefield Cavern @ White Scar Cave
Dec 17 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

On December weekends before Christmas the cave will have a festive theme, with special illuminations and effects. Father Christmas will be in the Battlefield Cavern,  with lots of presents for children.

Dates: 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th December. Admission times (weather permitting) from 11am, with last entry at 3pm. All admissions (both adult and children) will be £7.50. Booking is not required.

Please note that these arrangements replace the standard tour, which operates during the rest of the year.

The Singular Exploits of Sherlock Holmes – Re-scheduled for 3rd Feb 2018 @ St Mary's Church

June 2017 marks 100 years since Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s mother relocated away from Masongill Cottage after a 35 year tenure.

Call in to ‘Uncle Jeremy’s Household’ shop, where they have tickets for ‘The Singular Exploits of Sherlock Holmes’ performance at St Marys Church, Ingleton, 7.30pm.  Tickets are £6.00 and to help the audience get into the spirit of things, there is the option of dressing up as a character from a Sherlock Holmes plot. Uncle Jeremy’s Household will be awarding a prize of £100 for the most convincingly dressed audience member.
