We’ve lots going on in the Ingleton area with something to interest you throughout the year. Main annual events include

 1940’s Weekend, Overground Underground Festival, Ingleton Gala & Mountain Race and Sheafstock. Ingleton also hosts its very own cycle sportive, Escape to the Dales.

Overground Underground Event – Cave Rescue Open Day with “Tyrolean Traverse” River Crossing @ Cave Rescue Depot, Clapham

Cave Rescue Organisation Open Day with “Tyrolean Traverse” River Crossing and other attractions

The CRO Depot will be open to visitors as part of the Clapham Village Street Fair. Come and meet the Team, see our specialist mountain and cave rescue vehicles and equipment and try crossing Clapham Beck with rope and pulleys. Refreshments also available.

Date: Saturday 22nd July 2017 Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Where: CRO Depot, Clapham, LA2 8HH. The CRO Depot is located in the centre of Clapham village, next to The New Inn. Parking available on the roadside or in the National Park carpark in Clapham.

Cost: Tour of Depot free. Donations to CRO and OGUG welcome. Small charge for Tyrolean Traverse and refreshments.
Age: Tour of Depot suitable
for all ages subject to personal access restrictions (see below). Tyrolean Traverse suitable for all ages subject to personal medical restrictions.

Access: Ground oor suitable for wheelchairs and buggies, there are stairs to the rst oor.

The Wheatsheaf in Ingleton has confirmed that they will welcome folk sessions throughout the weekend.
The Old Hill Inn in Chapel-le-Dale has organised a couple of sessions:
Saturday 30th – Noon onwards – A Session of Song & Laughter with Andy Hill
Sunday 1st October – Noon onwards – A Session with Ron Davies

Comic Song Competition – Maybe return in 2018 as a standalone event.
