Ingleton’s Christmas Story and Fayre @ Ingleton village

You’re invited to our Christmas story event, supporting the NSPCC. We invite you come along to enjoy our afternoon to ‘Light up Ingleton’, wth Sedbergh brass band and lots more – 

Ingleton’s Christmas Story and Fayre will be held on Saturday December 15th   from 2pm. Starting at Ingleton Methodist Church with a parade, storytelling and music with Mary and Joseph accompanied by a donkey, Angels, Wise Men and Shepherds who will work their way to the crib in the square. Santa on his sleigh will be led by Lantern Bearers from St. Mary’s Church to Santa’s Grotto in Seed Hill. Open from 4pm to 6pm. In the square there will be tombola, raffle, a lucky dip, food, other stalls music and singing. St. Mary’s Church is hosting a Christmas Tree Festival, the decorated trees presented by village organisations. Hand made craft refreshments will be available. The Wheatsheaf are also holding an indoor market and are donating £100 to the NSPCC. Residents and businesses on Main Street have been asked to ‘Light up Ingleton’ and there will be a prize for the best display.

Followed by tea for all children taking part at ‘The Three Horse Shoes.’ (accompanied by an adult) There will be prizes for the best fancy dress.

There will be evening entertainment for the children at the ‘Bottom Club’ 6pm to 8pm with ‘Mr. Bubbles’.

The road will be closed from 2pm until 6pm.

This is a new event as an alternative to Late Night Shopping, we hope you will come and support us and help us ‘Light up Ingleton’.
