Events by Date Order

Raise money for Brain Tumour Research, come along for a sponsored knitathon. Crocheters welcome too. Drop in or stay all day, from 10am. Refreshments and needlecraft fun in the village centre, all in aid of a great cause.
Calling all crafters! Here’s a date to pop in your diaries…the Craftopia Knitathon, in memory of my darling daughter Jenny, who died of a brain tumour, aged 19, in 2017. We will be having a day of knitting /crocheting together at Craftopia 6, Main Street. Ingleton LA6 3EB on the Saturday 23rd May, to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity. All you need to do is download the sponsor form on our website www.amandabloomscraftopia.co.uk and ask your friends and family if they will sponsor you for every hour that you spend knitting or crocheting with us.
We’ll be making very simple strips which I will sew together to make a blanket (blankets) for a homeless charity. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t an experienced knitter or crocheter….. We will be offering help with casting on and there will be more experienced crafters here to help. We’re hoping for a sunny day so that we can sit outside in the warmth. You’ll be able to buy refreshments throughout the day or you can bring a packed lunch with you. We’ll have a 10 minute break every hour so that you can stretch your legs etc. All you need to do is turn up with some yarn and your hooks or needles. We will be working with acrylic DK, just to have some uniformity in the blanket. If you don’t have any yarn I’ll be donating all the opened balls of suitable yarn that I have and Stylecraft have promised to send us some too! Even if you can only spare an hour, please feel free to join us. All help is welcome. Link to Justgiving – HERE
