What’s On

We’ve lots going on in the Ingleton area with something to interest you throughout the year. Main annual events include

 1940’s Weekend, Overground Underground Festival, Ingleton Gala & Mountain Race and Sheafstock. Ingleton also hosts its very own cycle sportive, Escape to the Dales.

Shawl Techniques (Advance booking required) @ Craftopia

Join Amanda and the wonderful Anna Nikipirowicz for a fantastic workshop which will teach you all you need to know to crochet shawls using lots of different techniques.
When: Saturday 16th November 2019 10am – 4pm
Where: Craftopia, 6 Main Street, Ingleton LA6 3EB
We will provide lots of yarn for you to use – just bring your hooks along. You’ll need various sizes: 3.50, 4, 4.5 and 5 mm depending on the yarn you choose to work with.
Lunch is provided and of course there will be tea and cake throughout the day.

Amanda and one of our very favourite designers: Eleonora from Coastal Crochet and enjoy a wonderful festive and cosy workshop at Craftopia!
When: 14th December – 10am – 4pm

Whether you prefer the traditional or the wonderful seaside themed decorations, we’ll provide all the yarn you need – just bring your hooks (you’ll need a 2.5mm and 3.0mm) and general kit (scissors, darning needle etc). There will even be fairy lights so you can create a magical Christmas decoration!
Lunch is provided and of course there will be tea and cake throughout the day.

The Crochet Sanctuary – Learn to Crochet Workshop @ Craftopia

Come and learn to crochet at Craftopia with The Crochet Sanctuary.

If you’re an absolute beginner and would like to learn the basics then this is the course for you! You’ll come out with a project and a lovely new skill!

Lisa and Lynda Rose from the fantastic Crochet Sanctuary are coming to Craftopia to teach you how to crochet. You’ll be crocheting washcloths which you can use in the bathroom or the kitchen.

We’re very lucky to have Lisa and Lynda Rose from The Crochet Sanctuary here, at Craftopia, to teach you how to make a beautiful spring inspired tea cosy.

Lisa and Lynda run the sell out Crochet Sanctuary in Cranage, Cheshire. They are both passionate crocheters and have designed several patterns for Hobbycraft and the Little Box of Crochet.
This workshop is suitable for confident beginners and intermediate level crocheters. You will need to already have basic crochet skills.
