We had the most lovely stay here. The barn is so snug, inviting and beautifully clean. We had fresh hens eggs for breakfast and it was a fantastic spot for a day of walking. The local area is absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be back.

We highly reccomend Cold Cotes self catering accomodation. Me and my husband spent more than one week and definitely will be back. The hosts were very friendly, helpful, provided extra towels, bicuits, cofee, tea and even eggs! They have a small Omlette hen house and we could take eggs from there! The Diary is perfect for 2 people, there is everything needed, very comfortable bed. Location is ideal, easy to reach Lake District,Yorkshire Dales,Cumbria. There are so many places to go!We would also like to add that the price is affordable and in comparison with other accomodation in the area is the best price and quality choice. Many thanks to Helen and Ryan !

We enjoyed a short escape to the Shippon early January. It was perfect for two of us, having everything we needed, being clean, warm and quiet even though we were not too remote. A brilliant location allowing us to explore the local area from the door either on foot or on our bikes.
Helen and Ryan were both very helpful and communication with them was impressive. We will certainly stay again.

We stayed 3 nights in The Shippon. Easy to find it was lovely and quiet.
A compact studio it was very well appointed and had everything we could possibly need: tea, coffee, biscuits even fresh eggs! Plenty of pots and pans as well.
Despite the poor weather it was toasty warm.
Being 2 of us we particularly liked the choice of where to sleep either on the mezzanine or the ground floor sofa bed. We tried both and were equally comfortable.
So much to do in the area we will be back.
Thank you Helen and Ryan.
