Events in Ingleton are wide and varied with something to interest you throughout the year.

These include 1940’s Weekend, Overground Underground Festival, Ingleton Gala & Mountain Race and Sheafstock. Ingleton also hosts its very own cycle sportive, Escape to the Dales.

From family friendly to the more specialised, you’re bound to find something to take part in and enjoy.

Explore the beauty of underground Ingleborough. Stream ways, waterfalls, small climbs, walking, stooping and crawling is all part of the fun. Squeezes are optional. Learn about how the caves were formed and how we need to protect them too. We supply caving oversuits, helmets, lamps, belts, wellies, and all safety gear.

Overground Underground Event – Twistleton Scar Geology Walk with Mike Farrington @ From Broadrake
Jun 3 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Join Mark Farrington in a guided walk from Broadrake to Twistleton Scar, via Ellerbeck and back. Not only will we be taking a 340 million year journey through time but we will walk through warm shallow tropical seas to the ‘criminally cold’ of the Ice Ages.
Enjoy lunch on top of the edge of Twistleton Scar with long views of Chapel-le-Dale. If it is poor visibility we will do a lower level walk via the Old Hill Inn and Ribblehead. Bring a packed lunch, wear stout footwear, and warm, waterproof clothing as necessary. Finish the day with tea and homemade cakes at
Broadrake.
